Should tea be kept in the refrigerator or freezer? It has two prerequisites, one is to see what kind of tea is stored, and the other is to see whether it is short-term storage or long-term storage?

If you store green tea, yellow tea, and fragrant oolong tea, you can put it in the refrigerator. If it is black tea, white tea, dark tea, oolong tea baked at high temperature, scented tea, etc., then it is not suitable to put it in the refrigerator, let alone discuss refrigeration. Still frozen.

Put it in the refrigerator for low-temperature storage. If the temperature is controlled below 5 °C, the quality of the tea is better, and the flavor of the tea can generally be kept unchanged for more than 1 year. If it has been packaged in small cans, cans, cylinders, and boxes, it is generally well airtight. As long as it is wrapped in a clean plastic bag, it can be stored directly in the refrigerator.

For bulk tea, put it into a clean, clean and odorless brown bottle or tinplate can or cylinder, fill it up tightly, cover it tightly, seal it with adhesive tape and melt and coat it with wax, and then put a plastic bag on the outside and tie it up. Store in refrigerator.

Of all the tea leaves, green tea is best stored in the refrigerator. If the storage time is short and you need to drink it at any time, you can put the green tea in the refrigerator and adjust the temperature of the refrigerator to about 5°C; but the unopened tea leaves should be stored in the freezer if you want to keep it for more than one year. Compared with green tea, oolong tea, black tea and jasmine tea do not have to be stored in the refrigerator.

Because the content of polyphenols in oolong tea and black tea is relatively low, the rate of aging and deterioration is slow, and it is easy to store; while scented tea has a strong floral aroma, and storage at low temperature will inhibit its aroma and reduce the concentration of aroma. Therefore, it can be stored for a long time as long as it is placed in a dry, airtight, light-proof and odor-proof container. Pu-erh tea is best stored at room temperature, and there is no need to use a desiccant.

If it is frozen, because the temperature is too low, the water in the tea leaves will be quickly drained. If it is too dry, the tea leaves will be easily broken, and the shape will be bad and the taste will change! It will also affect the appearance. The tea ceremony: "smell the fragrance, watch the color, and taste the tea", the color, fragrance, taste, and shape are all very important! However, when refrigerating, make sure to seal it tightly!
