But many kidney disease patients have such a problem, and they are generally older. For middle-aged and elderly patients in the upper age group, they usually have such a habit at home, they like to drink tea, and more often they like to drink tea. When it comes to tea, in fact, Chinese people generally have a very persistent hobby for this, just like Westerners like drinking coffee for a reason, which also confirms that China has a very deep tea culture. Can a kidney disease patient drink tea? Today we will discuss this topic!

Before answering this question, let’s take a look at tea.

do you know? Tea is divided into six categories in terms of craftsmanship: green tea, black tea, white tea, dark tea, yellow tea, and green tea. From the perspective of nutrients, there are mainly proteins, amino acids, alkaloids, tea polyphenols, carbohydrates, minerals (including potassium, phosphorus, calcium, magnesium, iron, etc.), vitamins, natural pigments, fatty acids, etc. From this point of view, most of our kidney disease friends can drink in moderation. However, there are three aspects that need to be treated differently: firstly, different types of tea are suitable for drinking due to different kidney diseases; secondly, due to the different nature and taste of tea, the suitable groups of people with kidney disease are also different; thirdly, when taking certain drugs, Drinking tea may affect the absorption and efficacy of nephropathy treatment drugs.

Let's talk about it separately.

1. Different nephropathy, tea suitable for drinking is also different

1. During the period of hormone therapy, friends with nephrotic syndrome are mostly dry mouth, fear of heat and even night sweats, and their constitution is mostly yin deficiency or qi yin deficiency. The suitable tea leaves are green tea and white tea.

2. For those who have chronic kidney disease for a long time, or chronic renal insufficiency, are thin, are afraid of cold, and do not like drinking water, black tea and yellow tea are suitable for diet.

3. For friends with kidney disease who are obese or have "three highs", the most suitable teas to drink are oolong tea, green tea and dark tea, such as Tieguanyin, Dahongpao and Pu'er tea.

2. Due to the different nature and taste of tea, the suitable people with nephropathy and constitution are also different.

1. Black tea: warm and sweet in nature, black tea is not irritating and has the function of regulating the spleen and stomach. Suitable for people with poor stomach or weak body. But special attention should be paid: black tea is warm in nature, so it is not suitable for people who are getting angry or who are usually angry, and those who are taking hormones are also not suitable.

2. Green tea: cooling tea, the first of the six teas, clears troubles, dispels heat and reduces fire. It is suitable for people with yin deficiency and need to dispel fire, such as friends with kidney disease who are taking hormones, young and middle-aged people who are busy with work and mental workers. But special attention should be paid to: green tea is cool in nature. Although it can clear away heat and eliminate vexation, it has a certain stimulation to the stomach and intestines. People with weak spleen and stomach should drink less or drink it lightly.

3. Yellow tea: Tea contains a lot of digestive enzymes, which are good for the spleen and stomach. It is most suitable for people with chronic kidney disease combined with indigestion and loss of appetite. Special attention: Yellow tea contains a lot of caffeine and tea polyphenols. These ingredients are easy to make people feel excited and increase urine output, so it is not conducive to the health of expectant mothers and fetuses, so it is not suitable for pregnant women.

4. Oolong tea: also known as green tea, semi-fermented tea whose tea properties are between green tea and black tea, and its properties are mild. It is very suitable for friends with kidney disease who are obese and need to lose weight. It has a good auxiliary blood lipid-lowering, cholesterol-lowering and digestive effect. In addition, oolong tea has a refreshing effect. However, it is not advisable to drink a lot on an empty stomach. Pregnant women should not drink it. Theophylline has an exciting effect, which will increase fetal movement and be harmful to the fetus.

5. White tea: It is the most natural tea with tea properties to clear heat and detoxify, with a lighter taste and less irritation. It is suitable for people with kidney disease who suffer from dry mouth, fear of heat or night sweats. It is also suitable for women to drink, especially for people who like to drink tea at night. However, special attention should be paid to: when diabetic patients drink white tea, it is best to use boiling water with a lower temperature, about 80 ℃, for 4 to 6 hours, and drink it in the morning and evening. Do not brew with boiling water to avoid high temperature damage to tea polysaccharides. with theanine.
